Subaru Banner Baja Warranty Issues

Hey

I wanted to start a thread where all could post any issues you needed looked at while your Baja was and is under Warranty....

This should give a heads up for all the rest of us........and assist others to have things looked at before the warranty runs out.

Maybe they could make this a sticky...........always on top.......

For all to see......

O.K. First and only problem with the car; nearing 13K miles:

Twice into the dealer for loss of refrigerant. Second time around, they found a leaky schrader valve, and replaced the line.

So far, so good, a loaner each time (no ****, a WRX the first time)

Thank you, Reeves Motorcars!

I've only had two problems in the year that I've had mine.

First was right after I bought it, I even noticed it on the way home. The left turn signal wouldn't work, but only after the car had been in the Texas sun for a few hours. Turned out to be a bad fuse and they replaced it for free.

Second was after my latest oil change, the Skid Plate on the passenger side was ripped off, but I didn't do anything that would cause it to be damaged. Turns out, the bolt that holds the skid plate on is often not tightened after an oil change. They replaced that for free, too.,

Both times were quick and painless. The first time I was even given a rental car for free, but it was painful because it wasn't my Baja.

When I first pick up my Baja it pulled to the right. Deal had an alignment done under warrenty. I also had the tim around the top drivers door replaced because it was bent from the way they glued it in. It took them three times to repair it correctly but it's fine now.

For whatever it's worth, the back passenger side weather strip came loose (twice) and the driver side window washer nozzle popped out and flew away on the highway. The dealer replaced all for free. Other than that, so far so good (9500 miles).

Has anyone experienced any sort of front door misalignment? I have noticed a strange "dropping" sensation immediately upon unlatching the driver's door. Not the same at all on the other side.

I'm sure the dealer can check it out; just wanna hear if anyone has had this happen...

thx

I've only had one warranty issue, and that was the Tonneau cover. I had purchased the Subaru cover and had it installed the first week that I owned the car (Approx Nov 1, 2003). By the first week of June (that's what, 6 - 7 months?) it was looking ratty, had seams coming out, holes in seams, the rib wouldn't stay in place to keep water off of it.

I'm not pleased with the quality of the cover compared to the price paid, but the dealer did replace it when I had the car serviced a couple of weeks ago.

the door issue is a simple re-adjustment; I had the same problem with my 05. But now the door rattles everytime I close it. Sounds like something loose in the door.

The little rubber, triangular boot at the front of my front windows has ripped at the top where the window pushes it up when it's rolled all the way up.. whew what a sentence! Anyone else have this problem? Haven't talked to the dealer about it yet.
