Default Please! Take this computer!

I have a pos computer from the early 90's that was given to me when i was having harddrive troubles, I dont know what to do with it... There's no harddrive, but it has a case that's in good condition. Does anybody want it? Please?

Or do you know a good place to dispose of it, besides the dump?

chances are that it's so old that not even the case is worth much. Your best bet is probably to take it apart and use whatever you can as paperweights, or give it to some kid who still thinks that electric motors are cool. If it's newer than 96 or so (which it sounds like it's not), there might be a charity that could use it, like FreeGeek here in Portland, but I don't know if something similar is in Oly.

Damn. . . if anyone can point us in a direction for FREE recycling of computer components. . . please speak up!

I have many old parts and a few cases that could use recycling, as well.

I saw something on the discovery channel about computer recycling but that does not help much.

Laurel - call TOGI (the other guys inc) and inquire about PC disposal. Josh is a friend of mine, so if you want call and ask for him and tell him that I told you to call (nick)

Yukonart - Call RePC (www.repc.com). They've got stores in Seattle and Tukwila.

If you have any old electronics to get rid of…

Office Depot is taking used electronics for free from July 18th through Sept. 6th. All brands of electronics, and products including computer monitors, digital cameras, copiers, fax machines, cell phones, personal digital assistants (PDAs) and TVs that are 27 inches or smaller, etc. HP will then be recycling the products as part of their environmental project.

I think he is correct about RE-PC.

If it's the place I've been to before, they have a little area in the back where you just drop it off.

Default bring it to me....

I shoot stuff like that. Nothing like exploding electronics equipment.
Then I take it to the dump as scrap metal. That's how we do it in Idaho
