Default Instrument mounts

O.K. I've been grumbling to myself for a while about this...time to share the love.

If anyone knows of guage mounts for the Baja/Legacy/Outback, pipe up now, please. I'm referring to a-pillar mounts primarily, as there isn't much room anywhere else.

If not, please give me a show of hands. The company I work for is a distributor for a manufacturer of instrument mounts (I will refrain from endorsement; just stating a fact), and we have contracted them to custom-build pillar mounts in the past.

I am willing to foot the bill for a new pillar cover from my local Subie dealer, to send to the manufacturer (again, not a shameless plug; buy from whomever you want to!). If I can get an idea of how many of these may be in demand, I may be able to convince them to make them for us.

I want to again state that I do not intend to sell these to NASIOC members directly. If I am able to have them made, I will simply refer members to the distribution network. This is a request for assistance in getting the manufacturer to respond, not a shameless plug for sale!

They currently make them for WRX/Impreza, both in right and left-hand mounts. If anyone has had success using these units in the Baja, speak up, please!

Let's hear it!

I haven't seen anythihng in the means of a "a" piller mount, but i did find this from http://www.rallitek.com: http://www.rallitek.com/products.asp...HB=&ACC=Y&SP=. They are currently working with AVO to get them to have a version that specifically fits the baja, but currently it needs just some shaving of it to get it to be flush on the dash. They have some pics of it installed as well: http://www.rallitek.com/news.asp. Scrowl down to about a little past half way down the page and you will see.

Thanks, Bajanut. That is helpful, but I still think I'll pursue a twin gauge mount. I spoke with our guy at the factory, and here's something cool:

If he does a driver's side, it's just a flip of the CAD, and then you have a passenger side. They already do both sides for the WRX and EVO, as well as the Skyline (and we all have those laying around in the garage).......

As it progresses, I will advise...

Wouldn't the twin gauge mounts for the WRX fit? I've seen some of those for sale.
