Default Weird noise under the car in the front...

I just got my car back from a slight front end collision last Friday, and ever since I've been getting this weird noise coming under the car whenever I go over bumps or dips. At first I thought it's my front lip scratching the ground, but I checked and found absolutely no scratches (it was repainted in the shop). After driving it for a while I think the noise comes from right under my feet maybe a little to the front, and seems to be stronger on the passenger side. It sounds kinda like forcefully pulling a screw out and scraping metal kinda noise. I plan to take it back to the shop and have them look at it, but I am also considering a possibility of the noise actually coming from the front sway bar / endlinks I put on about 4 weeks ago, which I never really got a chance to drive the car much due to the accident.

So what do you guys think it is?

Ya know my brother has that same problem with his 99 Audi A4, he hasnt gotten it checked and its been like 20,000 miles, nothing happened but i also suspect its the suspension, maybe some one can help us. and yes he had a collision also just in case some of you were wondering.

I was wondering if it's the bushings that I replaced over the front sway bar that's making the noise (my mechanic warned me about it), but that sound isn't exaclty what I would describe as a "squeak"... it's more like a scraping cracky noise...

The reason you are not getting many responses is that it could be any number of things. Take it back to the shop. Tell them what you hear and take them for a ride. If they are a reputable shop they will take care of it. They were paid to fix it, if it makes noise, it's not fixed right. You will find most everyone will back up their work, you just have to tell them.

The reason I'm asking is because I had some suspension changes (front sway, endlinks) from Shop A, and then had an accident and took it to Shop B to do body work, and I don't want to go to B and have them find out it's not their problem and end up embarassed or having to pay for it... Oh well, it's alright I'm going in this afternoon.

Just came back and the guy from the shop told me that it's the urethane bushings connected to the front sway that's making the noise and he's 90% sure. He said the lube might have been washed out when they cleaned my car doing body work on it. It sure isn't exactly what I would describe as a "squeak", just FYI.
