Question Need to find 5mm wheel spacers (Tire Rack help)

Hoping maybe Luke from Tire Rack could help me out. I need to find 5mm wheel spacers and longer studs. Is there a kit that works with Subarus?
I have Volk TE-37s 17.7.5 wont clear the Brembro so Im going to try the wheel spacers.

HR sells 5mm hub centric spacers for the subaru Do a google for it and you will find them easily.

I would not look to Luke to help you as I made the same request by email and phone last week and he never got back to me.

ok, I've done tons of research on this stuff...

first, are you SURE a 5mm spacer will clear?

even w/ 5mm spacers, you'll STILL need hubcentric spacers because the volks have a chamfered seat, and the remaining lip on your wheel hub doesn't stick out far enough to sufficiently seat in the wheel.

so you're better off getting 10mm hubcentric spacers. they'll still clear just fine (I'm running 10mm spacers on 17x7.5 w/ 235/45 tires).

as for the extended studs, I hear that the HR ones aren't that great, and not much(if any) stronger than stock studs.

here are you options:

Spacers:
5+ mm hubcnetric

Extended Studs:
60mm Nissan NISMO extended hub studs for S14 (part # ends w/ 45) set of 10 for ~$70
58mm Subaru extended wheel studs from TrakStore in the UK. ~2GBP each + shipping from UK
??mm longer wheel studs from Nissan Trucks(rear wheel) (unknown fitment, heard about it, but don't know for sure if they have the correct sized knurling)

you'll also need new open-ended lugbolts since many of the extended studs are M12x1.5

http://store.yahoo.com/import-store/1025560.html

this is what I was looking at. Its back ordered for 1 month.

I though 5mm would be enough. I test fitted the wheel and it just barely doesn't clear the Brembro caliper. I need like 3mm more space and it would work great. I was looking at these since it came as a kit and came with longer studs.

Thanks for the info too.

Thanks for the info. Im going to have to think about it. If I have to wait a month, that means I only have about 2 months to enjoy my Volks on the car before I have to take them off for winter.

I am actually looking into getting a reputable manufacturer make 8-10mm hubcentric spacers for us STi guys since I've sourced a place that sells extended studs.

the problem is that a 5mm spacer won't be hubcentric due to the lack of material, and a 10mm spacer might cause rubbing issues w/ a lowered car. Also, the HR spacers are cast, whereas I'm looking at a spacers CNC machines from billet T-6061 aluminum alloy.

I'm still in the research phase of this and will keep everyone updated. meanwhile, check out my other thread about extended studs that Ive found.
