Post Hey, are spline style lug nuts more theft resistant?

I know that they need a special adapter, so the thought occurred to me. Is anyone using them? How do they work, besides like a lugnut should?

Ever seen the special adapter that they use for installing the wheel boot? It is used to take wheel locks off of cars. Usually it destroys the wheel lock.

Yeah, I remember us talking about that on Sunday. I have Dante at Primm looking into a full set of spline nuts, where ALL of 'em lock. I have no idea about the cost, but I'm presuming it's cheaper than another set of P1s, or making an insurance claim, or having the car towed should someone make off with 'em, yada yada.

I might be worrying too much, given the general appearance of my Legacy GT wagon, but ya can never be too sure.
