How does this combo work? Does anyone have this on their car? I have the tein soft springs and have 17in. rims with 40 series tires. I loved the look of the car lowered and liked the better handling. the problem was the tires would rub going around fast turns or bumps so I am told i should get new struts, wondering how the ver 5's work with these springs. Thank you

The TEIN soft springs are firmer than the stock springs but they are progressive. You can check out the spring rates on this thread http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/Foru...ML/000014.html
I think the v5 struts or the KYB AGX's would be a great match. Lonnie [This message has been edited by llonman (edited February 08, 2001).] |

I remembered seeing the spring rate of the Tein Soft to be very soft. softer than stock springs! So I think the V5 struts will be too powerful for it.

So what strut would you recommend? I mean I dont really need the adjustability of the AGX's and a lot of people say the ver. 5's are better for a lowered car than the AGX's. I dont even really know of any other good struts made for our cars?

Ahhh my bad. I see they are progressive. So on regular driving it will be really soft. Sure looks like it. At this rate, even the stock struts will be able to match it nicely.
