Default Emanage + J&S wiring opinions

Both the emanage and the J&S modify timing after the ECU.

does anyone have any idea if there would be any impact in installing the J&S before or after the emanage?

I am redoing all my ECU wiring because I want to make everything plug and play so I can put the J&S wherever on the way to the coil.

Well, its a matter of is the E has knock protection. the J&S is just a knock guard. so, if you run a link you don't need one. i plan on a haltech which doesn't have any knock protection so i need one. sorry, but i haven't diversed myself very much into the piggyback world since i learned it wouldn't work for me. but let some others add their plunk plunk, 2 cents unless i answered it already. look and see if E has knock protection. Peace.

Realistically, there should not be any difference since the eManage just modifys the signal a few degrees, and will do it whether it's already altered by the J&S or not.

The J&S has to be installed after the e-manage otherwise the e-manage will see a timing signal way off of what it thinks it should be seeing and will try and advance the timing in order to maintain the timing map it has.

Nope, the e-manage only changes relative to its input, it doesn't expect any signal it just changes what it gets. It doesn't matter which order they are connected.
