That when someone puts their car up for sale it usually reads something like:
Only 12 Loving, careful, law-abiding, conservitive, clean-freeway miles a year. Never been raced(oh sure), never abused...(yeah right) Mine will read: 30,000 miles a year full of hate. Back road-ripping up, slides in gravel, occasional mud baths, abusive cornering(everyday), everyday redlining. etc etc I go through front tires every 3 months...then I put my rears on my front and news on the back. I know this honesty isn't going to sell the car but I mean come on...you can't fully enjoy this car without giving it a little hate. It thrives on such aggression. and she still looks ok... <IMG SRC="http://www.masterclan.com/RS/back.jpg" border=0> Well those are just my feelings. Who else feels the same way? no crap, dude, I know, anybody who puts that in an add when selling a RS is only kidding themselves (and the stupid) I rally the freking crap out of my car (thats why I got it) all four wheels leave the ground for extended peroids of time frequently during the week. I'll do like 40 and dump the steering wheel while yanking up on the e-brake, tires.....what tires, oh you mean the ones I left back there spread all over that corner?
I frekin' love this car, anyone who drives this car like my mom drives her minivan should be shot for cruel and indecent behavior toward a caged animal (the RS) Not driving this car to its fullest ei not smoking any other rice rocket with chopped springs that steps is just plain insane. Do it, avoid cops (or pigs) and drive it to its limits untill the huge grin on your face impares your vision |

142,000 miles of pure speeding,
I have put on new tires (but their bald). The AC dont work because I removed it for HP. It handles turns really well at about 45mph (trust me I have did it alot). It has no Cat Conv. so dont get pulled over. and finally if need a nice quiet car this wouldnt be your choice due to the Straight Pipe w/resinator & Glass Pack. |

Every turn, every day, all day, I will drift or attempt to do so. From point A to point B its a race. Right now I am working on managing 45 mph turns at places where the signs say 15mph. Sometimes I scare myself, and then I bask in my glory. DIE YOU CIVIC DRIVERS!!!!!!!!!!!! DIE!!!!!!!! P.S. On those turns, I do manage to stay in my lane for the most part!!!!

There should be a translation bood for ads. ie:
24,000 pampered miles Translation: durring the rally's at the "Y" in the road I took the pot holes and mud ponds instead of the tree stump route. Well maintained. Translation: I only went to the very best body shops. A few new parts. translation the engine and tranny can be a little tepremental when run at redline.....for hours on end. New tires. translation They should tell you when you buy those things that they cannot handle 60mph 90degree turns. grade A shape.translation I will include what is left of the 5 gallon bucket of grade A bondo. Upgraded brakes. translation: The last set were completly in-effective while sliding on the roof through a simple field. Second set of rims. translation: they are all bent to hell, but they are yours if you want them. Oil changed every 3,000 miles.translation: And so was the engine. K&N air filter. translation: The orginal could not handle pond water. Custom shift knob. translation: My "eager" driving snaped the original. And finally: Mostly highway miles. That is what we call it when we get a lot of high-air on the dunes...HIGHway miles. Can you think of any more? [This message has been edited by ChosenWon (edited May 08, 2001).] |

ONE OWNER Translation: I could never find anyone who would actually buy the thing...
LOW MILEAGE Translation: However, all of them were at maximum speed. COLD A/C Translation: In the winter... Heater works great during the summer, too... JUST SERVICED Translation: Because it was the only way the thing wouldn't stall... ![]() |

now I know who all the freaks are.
Bruce likes Silkys speak =] I forgot what I bought from the_gille.... But I liked it...whatever it was. I never go looking for people to race and I never ever instigate anything unless it's raining...[stupidrant]cause then I become POPPI I am Big Mac-Daddy supreme, and all the front/rear wheel drive suckas can bow down... [/endstupidrant] But I never decline unless it's in traffic or in a area that always smells of bacon... But my most favorite way to show off...ummm display my cars ability... would be on double lane clover leafs....the ones where all the suckers go to the inside and try to ride part of the shoulder so they can carry more speed. that's when I hit them around 50mph on the outside or carpool lane cause that's a gauranteed safe entry speed..and allow my tires to start squealing like little piggies..and by the time I exit or enter the freeway rather..I'm already going the speed limit ....which I never ever exceed............................................ ...... I hate those kinds of ads. Just be honest. Sure, nobody will buy your car, but why would you wanna sell an RS in the first place?

*AHEM!*
For those of us (me!) who take care of these cars, they may actually be around a long time and in good condition. My dad's got a 1970 Honda 350 motorcycle street cruiser. Ok, it's got 4,078 miles on it, but it's over 30 years old! It's so cool to take it out cruising! My Scooby is going to get ALOT of miles during her lifetime, but I want to still drive it 10 years down the road or more and get looks. I like to race thru the twisties, but will never pull an ebrake and beat the crap out of the car like some of you do. And I'm so paranoid about the paint, she gets a bath almost twice a week and gets spot polished. ...and when Subaru sends me the monthly payment bill that reads Quote:
Skylab™ *an old grandmother driving a minivan ![]() ![]() * |

LOL!!! HAHAHAH... all these posts are so great! So very very true... here's a few of mine to add to the mix:
Mint Condition:Frame pulled, and is now straight. Body panels have been re-aligned and painted Mostly Freeway Miles:I drive to a lot of rallies that are out of town Synthetic Oil used exclusively:nothing else could handle the 110 degree rally temperatues, seen while the engine was at redline all day All stock parts included:because I want you to feel like you're getting SOMETHING that isn't all torn to hell [This message has been edited by Mizen (edited May 09, 2001).] |
