Default AccessPort Map available for 2004 WRX Stage 2.5 with TMIC & Port/Polish VF34

For those of you who are interested:

This map was designed for a:

2004 WRX
VF34 (ported & polished wastegate and exhaust side housing
with the VF34 restrictor hose)
STi Uppipe
TXS Turbo-back Exhaust with High-flow cat and Magnaflow Muffler
TXS TMI v. 2

You must have the AccessPort

Trey has created 4 versions of this map in response to my data-logging with Delta Dash. Getting Delta Dash would be advisable. Buy a Knock Link Meter & Sensor first! The Knock Link is a good idea because every custom turbo port & polish job is different, perhaps necessitating a slightly different tune--however, I am not sure the AccessECU would adapt for those differences. Also, any other TMI, than my TXS, might also call for slightly different tuning requirements. When I ran my car with its current mods using the AccessECU VF34 Base Map I had consistent Knocking above 4K RPM.

You don't want to mess around with detonation. Above 4K RPM, the ECU does not correct for knocking, the AccessECU, does seem to adapt some.

The map for my Rex's AccessECU that he made me is designed to switch in/out of closed loop fueling just like his MY02 ECU, plus he included some additional improvements to the MY02 closed loop function. For those who have a WRX from an earlier year with an Accessport, Perhaps he can make a change or two to my v. 4 mapping so that it works with your years ECU (If you have an ECU from an earlier year, I would suggest you email him and ask him if he can change it to a different year’s firmware). I'm not sure it will work on its own at this point. You can ask on the COBB forums.

In this tune, from what I understand, he shifted the boost curve to the left, utilizing the p/p VF34's ability to spool faster. This gave me better low-end torque similar to the Stage II map. He also made changes to raise the boost from 16.5 to 17.5, and modified the mapping so the boost doesn't drop above 6K RPM nearly as much as it would with the VF34 base map. He also minimized the boost hunting--it was spiking to 20psi (yours will too with the VF34 restrictor hose, so try the TD04 stock restrictor hose first), now it stays between 16.7-18.3, when it hunts for 17.5

My best Delta Dash Road Dyno estimate for power to the wheels was 273 whp. on a flat surface with outside temp. @ 62 degrees.

as much as I want to use this map, I'm not. I guess I have to sell the accessport since my mods are no where close to the shelf maps and yours. I have a blitz fmic, blitz sus, walbro fuel pump, and all the parts that make up for the 2.5 map and I noticed I cant seem to find a custom tune from cobb to support the mods. Sucks as I love the accessport features so much, but now its time to go to ecutek. What are your thoughts on running this map with my setup. COnsidering its for a tmic and not a fmic and mines is not a P&P vf34.

I don't think you'd want to run this map:

I'd stick with the off the shelf map, or even better, get a customer ProTuner map or StreetTuner map. I'd think that with the new turbo setup, the custom tune would probably be noticeable.
