Smile GT30R tuning!! 407whp/402tq

After many months of waiting the STI is finally finished and tuned. The results w/ a GT30R turbo are 407whp and 402tq on 93 octane on 23psi.

Modifications include:
Forged rods, pistons, iron cylinder sleeves
Godspeed Stage 4 Spec R 520 turbo kit
Garrett GT30R turbo
GT Spec Gen II header with custom uppipe
Tial 38mm external wastegate venting back to downpipe
Godspeed custom downpipe
Godspeed GT oil feed line
Custom coolant and oil drain lines
Godspeed 3.25 inch MAF housing, intake pipe, and K&N air filter
Godspeed aluminum radiator
Crucial 160 degree thermostat
PE 850 cc injectors (Godspeed modified)
Walbro 255 l/hr fuel pump
APS DR650 front mount intercooler
Greddy Profec B V2 boost controller
Turbo XS STI UTEC
Greddy Evo cat back exhaust
WorxTuning BOV
ACT heavy duty street clutch
Defi gauges (boost, egt, oil temp)

This car is just sick to drive. Can't wait to get it to the track!

Thanks to Dan @ Godspeed for all of his help during this process. Also, a special thanks to Mike for turning the wrenches during a few setbacks during tuning.

Todd

That's a lot of torque and horsepower on 93 oct! Was this on the FP turbos or a real garret turbo?

What are you talking about? This turbo has been on my car since February. It is w/o a doubt a Garrett turbo...as it says right on the housing.

Very impressive. Is the motor pretty quiet w/ all forged internals?

Just curious why you decided to vent back to the dp, it sounds so cool venting to the atmosphere =)

Sorry I assumed you had the turbo that I sent back to Dan, it is one of his GT30R 520 kits. Anyone getting that kit will be getting a FP3052, which is a Garrett GT30R CHRA and exhaust wheel. The exhaust housing is custom made BY FP out of stainless steel. The compressor wheel is a 52 lb/min wheel in a matched compressor housing.

Forgive my assumption. I believe you have the non stainless exhaust housing version of this same turbo. It would not say FP on it since the exhaust housing is not custom made. Otherwise it is the same turbo.

The car sounds like it is forged until it warms up. Then it is pretty quiet. As for the dp...it still has the sound

Here's the dyno sheet. I am building a WRX now trying to go for 450 whp on pump fuel. Just wait and see folks.

The stock cams and heads are holding us back and obviously causing a lot of restriction on the top end as you can see from the drop in torque and power peaking at 6000 RPM. I plan to remedy that on my future projects.

Guys... FP doesnt make turbos as far as I know. They assemble them.

I may be wrong... but thats what I was told.
