Yeah, that's about right.

Post Spotted on Page Mill Road

... so I was on one of my usual favorite drives, "VC's to the Beach" -- Page Mill Road from Palo Alto, down Alpine Road to Pescadero. Using banana slugs as apexes is always fun. What an "interesting" surprise to see this on the side of the road:

<IMG SRC="http://www.choberi.com/impreza/PageMillRoad-010522/PorscheCrash-1.jpg" border=0>

<IMG SRC="http://www.choberi.com/impreza/PageMillRoad-010522/PorscheCrash-2.jpg" border=0>

Note that this car doesn't even have a plate!

As always, be careful out there folks. Today I stopped to help another person with "more dollars than sense" who went wide on a brand new BMW motorcycle on Alpine Road, hanging the rear wheel off the cliff and sending his PASSENGER (his wife I suppose) onto the pavement. We flagged down a passing truck and used a rope to pull the bike back on the road. When you're sharing the road with these people, better watch out for what's around the corner....

Given that I pretty much live on it, I do pagemill at least once a week.

Always wondered about some of those skid marks

Yeah sorry, my car was moving so it was tough to get a good picture. One that showed the word "TURBO" on the back.

Thats a turbo...only turbos have those wings...and you can see that it says turbo on the back...as for the grills...they're there if you look closely...they're hidden by the shadows...
