Hi everyone.

Have just put together the first list of our part numbers suitable for the North American spec RS 2.5 Impreza.

BSF19X 22mm Front Swaybar
BSF19Z 18-22mm Adjustable front swaybar
BSR20 20mm Rear Swaybar
BSR20X 22mm Rear Swaybar
BSR20XZ 20-24mm Adjustable Rear Swaybar
KLC20A Front Heavy Duty Link Kit
KLC19 Rear Heavy Duty Link Kit
KSB551 Front Strut Brace
KCA319 Front Caster/Anti-lift Kit
KCA414 Rear Camber kit
KBR20-** Rear Heavy Duty D-bush Mount (** add size of swaybar)
83028 Front Super Low Coil Springs 1 to 2
83029 Rear Super Low Coil Springs 1 to 2
80066 Front Low Coil Springs 1 to 1

Would appreciate any feedback from anyone disagreeing with the suitability of any of these part numbers as we'd like to finalise a fact sheet for this model.

Best regards.

Hi Jim,

Does your company make a rear strut tower brace for the RS as well as the front strut tower brace?

Thanks,

Aaron

I thought you also made a 18-22 Rear swaybar?

Don't you have some Strut & Spring combo's for the RS/WRX too?

What suspension kits do you have/offer that will fit our cars?

Thanks - Jon

Thanks everyone for your response.

Some answers to the questions:

Strut tower braces - The front part number is listed above as KSB551. Rear upper is on the drawing board along with a rear lower.

Extra heavy duty rear bar - We do actually have a 22-27mm rated rear adjustable bar, part number BSR20XXZ but we are sensitive to promoting it as a road solution. It is listed on our Impreza fact sheet as "race only" due to the potential problems through innapropriate use. It is really too big for road use and requires a proportionately large front bar to avoid snap oversteer along with extra heavy duty mounts.

Good point re 18-22mm rear bar, part number is BSR20Z using a 20mm base material.

Suspension kits and combos - I guess part of the point of this post was to try to get closer to finalising the similarities and differences between the Aust. and US spec Impreza. We do not have a listing for the North American RS 2.5 in any of the shock catalogues we have access to so we are hesitant to assume that they are the same as our Impreza/WRX. There is a good chance that they are but we need to confirm prior to cataloguing a spring/strut/shock combo. Perhaps someone would like to trial some part numbers first to confirm.

Once we know what suits, we can put together a fact sheet specifically for the RS 2.5.

Cheers

Thumbs up

The suspensions should be exactly the same. People import all sorts of japanese spec suspensions for use on the RS (CUSCO, SYMS, etc.) I can't imagine why the aussie stuff would be any different... The RS might be a tad heavier...?

The chassis are identical, except for some minor cosmetic differences, and some missing "cool" stuff, like aluminum control arms and such.

Bring on those kits!

I'm down with the guinea pig thing too. And if I like it, I'll start a groupbuy.

Thanks for the offer.

This is something normally handled by our dealers as we need to supervise the fitting process to ensure we accurately collect all the data we need.

We hope to be able to report something soon.

Cheers
