Default Help! HU won't work after replacing battery!

my headunit won't light up or work since my car died and replaced the battery...any help would be appreciated...i checked the wiring to see if its hooked up correctly but anything further than that is out of my electronic knowledge...thx in advance!

Check the fuse on the HU. When you replaced the battery, you might have gotten a small arc when connecting the second battery cable. This might have blown the fuse to the HU. Also, some people are known to wire power for the HU directly off of the batt with small wires with inline fuse holders. When replaceing the batt, this wire might have been left off (If this was the used install method). Also this HU might be just dead.

Yep, check the fuses, the one on the head unit, and the one for the stereo/headunit/lights etc for the car. Most likely that is your problem.

Did the same thing here and it was the "constant power" fuse that blew. Should be 30amp blue fuse.
