Default Rear ended - how to remove small scuff on bumper?

I was lightly rear-ended the other day by a pickup truck, with the only damage being a slight scuff/scratch right in the middle of my rear bumper. (It's about 1/4" long and slightly darker than the silver of the bumper.)

I'm either going to try to fix it or do nothing about it since it is so minor, but what would everyone recommend to clean it and virtually remove it? I figure I'll just wash it with some alcohol when I get the chance and perhaps use some touchup paint (paint code for silver?), but was looking for any additional insight.

Thanks,
Chris

Try some polishing compound and if that doesnt work try Rubbing compound. If neither works, maybe a wetsand if you know what your doing. Follow whatever you do with a coat of wax and you'll be on your way.

Good Luck

Thanks for the replies. It's nothing major, but I just want to clean it up a little.

(Afterall, the front of my car is so annihilated from racing and road tripping that the back was probably feeling a little left out.)

Also, if there are any other tips, let me know.

Here's the link for the future. My scuff removing search didn't catch it earlier, but this looks like it will work out nicely.

Try GS27, yo can get it from Pepboys or any reputable autoparts. Works great. I had a hudge key scratch on my hood(damn ex) and it took it right out. The scratch was in the clear coat nothing major. Took it right out and can't even tell it happened. Wish i could say that for my ex!!
