"For those that don't know the 22b"

I think thats a pleasure to anyone that hasn't seen that video yet. Although that wouldn't have been my choice of music while drooling over my dream car

2.5RX? Did I hear /see that right?

Thanks for the video Scooby South!

Your welcome..Actually Thank North Ursalia....He's hosting it...But Awesome non the less...and yes you heard it right...the Father of the WRX...here in the states was the 2.5....Sport Compact did a buildup on a 98 2.5RS and cloned it to the 2.5RX....It was at the LA autoshow in 99....they had to bring over the Crossmember, Rims, the Hood/vents and some other goodies...The paint was mixed by Prodrive and shot so the authenticy of the Blue was real...WRB...the car was eventually sold off to a private consumer...in Maryland???? I think..not sure..but supposedly, its still running around...

I've got that on videotape. That was before Kevin Thomas ran a 13.03 in his turbo'd/nitrous OBS.

While it's not about the US market, you guys should really buy the Impreza DVD. It's pretty much that motorweek clip for 90 minutes, but without the county fair livestock show announcing.

I actually saw the 2.5RX at the DC autoshow in Washington, DC about two years ago. I'll have to look and see if I've got pictures anywhere.

I'll have to download this as well to see if its better quality then the video I've already got.

This is why i bought a GC8 (the older, better looking impreza!) because some day i will turn it into my own version of the 22b. isnt that what all people who mod their GC8's are shooting for?

As he said, SCC did a build up and dubbed it the RX, it is not normal nomenclature, just the nickname for that particular car.
