Default If you want to get a 2.5L block (or bigger)...

I'm trying to get a list of things that must be done in order to properly install a larger displacement block (like from Crawford)

- Block and all the associated parts (not even sure what they are)
- ECU tuning (would Cobb's upcoming AccessTuner work?)
- Tranny upgrade

I remember reading somewhere about the problems of mating a WRX head to a 2.5L block?

How much would I be looking at total for something like that vs. going with a Version 8 STi engine?

That should be a reasonable starting point. As far as price, well that changes from day to day to much to say for sure. I can say that I was able to pick up a Spec C motor and sell off the parts I did not need for less that the owner paid for the STi short block and all required parts.
