I personally dont know, the USMB is a better bet for something as techinical as this (most of us dont tear into our 3AT / 4EAT transmissions)

We usually just swap in 5 speed dual ranges

it's my father-in-law's car.
he's a mechanic.
if he needs to disassemble the tranny, he is going to sell the car.

if it's easy, he'll just fix it.
