Talking 22B wing idea...

Could you motorize it? Have a switch inside the cabin to adjust it for more downforce or less. Or even make it speed-sensing. That would be really cool.

You could wire it up to its own MAF sensor, so that the faster the wind blows, the more df it gives, or just hook it into the speedo somehow. Oh, and if you do this, you've got waaaay too much time on your hands.

I met a guy (PiperCub) just the other day who plans on doing it... He already has the wing installed and all of the necessary equip. I think he is going to be working on it this month. Try PM'ing him, he can go into the details.

The VW Corrado has a speed-sensitive rear spoiler... just a tidbit to help you creative folks in the right direction.

Guys it'll sure look cool to show off but our wings don't really do crap. They're really just for looks. Now for the adjustable 22b wings, yes they're adjustable for a reason but those babies can go a wayyyyy higher speed than we can.

VW has done this for a while, so has Porsche. The turbo beetle has a spoiler that rises at 95mph, the Corrado would raise at 65 I think, Neuspeed sold a kit to have it raise at 55mph. All you need is a servo motor, and a switch(factory in all the equiped VW's). Ahh, some rice company has one that goes to a combat type wing that is cockpit adjustable.

There is a thread already on this a good while ago, do a search. But someone was fabricating (sp?) a rotary switch to toggle the spoilers position.
