Post japaneese rear bumper conversion?

i was just thinking...instead of placing the rear spats on a north american style rear bumper..has anybody ever converted to the japaneese style one bumper assembly...the one where the rear spats are supposed to go on nice and flush? just curious. i noticed a small gap between the spats on the N.American bumper..but no gap between the japaneese one.

I was wondering this too. GB maybe or at least a part number. I would guess that the bumper skin would just replace the current bumber skin...right?

I apologize for being so naive, but what's the difference between the Japanese-spec. rear bumper and the United States-spec. rear bumper? Do you have any pics that point out the differece(s)?

alrighttt!..i don't really know how to post pictures...but i kno if you look really close you can tell the difference between the 2..the us one has some sort of design on the bumper while the japaneese one is almost flush..but comes with a little lip.

i wouldn't kno if it would perfectly fit our models? does anybody?

Yes the bumper wil fit and I recomend that you do not get the replica ( at least if you intend keeping the body shop costs down). for an extra couple 100 you can get the real thing. Pam at ISR and Jay Leno at TRITunning can get them. they don't come cheap but not too many people have the ver.4-6 bumpers on thier RS', L's, LS's, Brighton's.

I'm getting one ASAP once I find the price.

Here is a pic of the bumper. Larger licence spot, missing feture that matches our side molding, the bottom lip has a smaller radius and it is so smooth looking. I would suggest removing the side molding if you get this

Question

Anyone know what rims those are???

I"m liking the Ver. 5/6 wing more but not until I have a turbo to back it up...

I have found out that an origional jap. spec bumper is around $320 but I cannot locate any one who has them. Part numbers follow
57720FA132 for the bumper
57760FA192 for the inner bumper (i think it is the same as the us model)
