Post Help please

Tonight some little #$%# egged my car from his car, heading in the other direction. That pissed me off. but then when i pulled over to clean the crap off. i found an egg shell shaped scratch on my hood... there are all these little holes and touching it up just wont cut it... what options do i have and how much should it cost to repaint the hood?

Is the scratch all the way through the paint? If not you might be able to rub it out.

I feel your pain. Somebody egged the interior of my Miata a couple of months ago. It's enough to make a normally calm person very violent.

Well it depends on where the damages is, if it's in the middle of the hood your ok and cost should be around $300.00- $400.00 depending on what options you have on the hood (ie scoops, vents, squirters). If the damage is close to the fender then the fender will have to be blended in for color match, and this will cost you aprox. $450.00 - $550.00.

Hope this helps

Make sure that it is through the color layer and not just the clear before you go buck wild on painting your car again. I had some punk walk across my hood with boots (could see the nice agressive pattern) and left about four prints acorss my hood. I don't know how he didn't dent it, but some were pretty deep and just went through the clear. When I got home my dad and I attacked the area with some mildly abrasive polishing compounds, slowly working to the smooth stuff. After we were done you can't tell they are there...I have actually forgotten about them the last few times I washed the car. Yes, they are still there and if you look at "just" the right angle you will see them. But it is a 300% improvement over what was there. Try and buff them out first, that might make you happy enough that you can save your money for other stuff.
