Default wrecked my 02 Rex =[

yesterday in woodbridge i slipped on some water at about 12 MPH when my turbo decided to engage on some slick water spot before i shifted into 2nd... I was only going about 12 MPH and needless to say im VERY PISSED...

my car slid out and by the time i pushed in the clutch and put on the brakes i already hit a ford expedition parked on the side of the road...
(where townhouses are around here you park next to road...)
anyways his wheels were turned towards the curb from when he parked and i ended up pushing him up onto the curb... other than that i dinged his left front fender and scratched his chrome bumper a bit and then his tire deflated cuz i knocked it off beed or w.e .... needless to say his metal bumper ate my fiberglass rex for lunch =[
my car lost its front left headlight and messed up the hood and the front bumper as well as the fender....
I will post pics in a few minutes here... that ill take from my camera fone...

theres only one good thing about it all... my front tire and rim were untouched... which would have been bad if they got messed up... I have a full size spare but they dont make the rims nemore cuz konig discontinued them...

Do you guys think that maybe the insurance company would let me buy a CF hood and aftermkaret bumper if i pay for the difference in price if there is any at all ?
and if i wanted to do that how would i go about asking about that ?

Most insurance companies cut you a check for the estimated repair costs.

Ive had a couple occasions where the ins. co. requires you to get estimates at their body shops, but you dont have to get it done their. Get the estimates, then tell them you wana use your own personal shop, take the $$ and buy the parts you need and have the shop install them along w. fixing the car. This way you get more $$ too. The first shop thinks the ins. co is paying so they tack on mo damage, then the next shop, get from a reccommendation and they will cut u a brake cause "your paying cash".

I think turbo cars are too much for you to handle. I suggest a tricycle.

Get a CF replacement tongue. That should stop it from hurting. True you'll lose all sense of taste, but at least your tongue won't hurt.

I've heard carbon fiber is hard to damage, but I'd save that money, and go to a drivers school. Maybe try an autocross. Basically learn how to handle your car at the limits, and don't drive like a jackaz on the street.
Hugs.
