Amber Bulbs for DIY Clear Corners?
Does anyone know where I can get these bulbs? I love the look of the clear corners, but I want to make it look a little more professional by adding the amber bulbs.
TIA, Dan Z.

They are just 194na bulbs wedge style, I think that's the number. You can get them in any automotive store. I put them in my clear corners

the stock lights look amber in there...at least next to my blue head lights they do, will an auto store have blue ones? I'd like those, or hyper white.

Dan, 194na is the right number for those bulbs. It's just like the bulb for the clear side markers.

Does anyone know what clear lightbulb fits the rear cluster turn signals?
I purchased a set of red/clear clusters during a recent GB and installed them on my RS. After a few weeks, I decided my Impreza would look better with all clear lightbulbs...even behind the turn signals. However, when I visited several local autoshopes (AutoZone, O'Reily's, and Parts America), no one had a clear replacement bulb. In fact, no one had an amber replacement bulb. To solve my problem, I just removed the original wiring harness from the stock rear clusters and swapped the out with the wiring harnesses on the red/clear rear clusters. Works like a charm! In retrospect, I love the appearance of my RS. With the amber bulbs behind the turn signals (front, back, side markers), the clear lenses really didn't appear to be clear (the amber bulb was visible through the clear lense). I have heard the police will pull you over if they catch you without amber turn signals, but with all the riced-out Hondas around Kansas City these days sporting blue, green, purple and pink turn signals and break lights, I figure if an officer wants to pull me over for having clear turn signals, fine. I'll just claim ignorance. At least I know how to use my damn turn signal. |
