Post Window tinting

I want to tint the windows on my 2001 sedan with a 35 % tint. Does anyone have an idea of about how much this would cost, including the back window?

I think mine was $225 3M 35% tint on the back 3 windows, 50% on the front 2, and 35% front windshild banner. Thats w/ 3M lifetime warranty. If it ever bubbles or peels, just bring it to any 3M tinting place and they'll take care of it. The car looks neutral and doesn't attract cops (since its illegal to put tint or anything on the front 2 windows here in CA). Hope this helps.

My RS sedan arrives in a few days. I'm planning on getting it tinted over the following weekend... I was quoted $150 over the phonem, side and rear windows instaled.

I had a few questions about the tint too.
1. how long does the install take?
2. Do the cops/dealer give much in the way of tickets/warrantee troubles?
3. W/35% how is the view from inside? At night? Does it become a cave?
4. Do trunk monkeys suffer sensory deprivation after prolonged exposure to low light levels?

Thanks

Speedracer - Thanks...

I guess that would be called full coverage.

35% on sides and 20% on rear??

Only reason I ask about the dealer is I'm just starting my relationship with the local shop, it already is starting to look like they don't like it when I 'personalize' my car.

The 20% and 35% sides looks good together. 35% is the legal limit in WA, thats why i didnt get the sides any darker. The guy at the shop said that the cops test the tint with a light meter which they clamp over the top of the glass, so they cant test the rear window. I dont know if thats true or not though...

Have a Nice Day?

Wow! All those prices seem pretty high. I paid $80 for my 3M Tints w/ Lifetime Warranty. I guess thats one of the few good thing about living in Miami.

I got 35% on the front two and %15 on everything rearward.

So what if it's illegal, my car doesn't look like a "boy-racer"

Dave-

I got the tint done at a place called Custom Auto Tint in Spokane (thats where i lived up until this year), so that probably doesn't help you too much.

Anyone know of a good installer in the Seattle/Everett area. Preferably with good customer service?

I've got 35% tint on all side windows at 20% on the rear window of my MY2000 coupe. It was $150 for the installation, i think it took about 2 hours. The side windows barely seem darker looking out, but the back window is darker. It just took a couple days to get used to it. The dealer doesnt care and I havent been pulled over since i got it done.

Cool

Wedge, do you have a silver RS sedan? I saw one on the turnpike near the Dolphin on Friday around 5pm.

I paid $110 to have my windows done on my L but window tint is cheap and very competitive here in South Florida. They're done at 13% and I really like them. I'm getting an RS this weekend and I'll have the tint done next weekend. I'll probably get them done at 5% all the way around. Florida seems pretty lax about tint enforcement too.
