I am planning on getting the Cobb Stage 2 also, but i don't know if i'm already having problems already and I don't want the Cobb Stage 2 to mess up my car even more (that is if..i'm having problems already)...

I got my Invidia downpipe installed and of course, the CEL light came on after driving for a few hundred miles..the guy that installed the downpipe used his computer thing that plugged underneath the sterring wheel and "modified the sensor setting" or something like that...the CEL disappeared..then it came on again after about 1g miles...I just disconnected the negative terminal and reinstalled.....no CEL for the a long time...now....
will this process that the installer did to my car ("modified the sensor setting"), affect the COBB stage 2 install, or did my doing of disconnecting the battery resetted EVERYTHING??? Any info would be wonderful!!!

SWRX,

The guy didn't modify anything, he reset the code, turning it off. The only way you can modify the setting is by reflashing the ECU. Get the Stage 2, it should modify the CEL parameters enough so you won't throw the CEL anymore.

so everything is back to factory settings?...I mean when I disconnected the negative terminal and re-connected it (10 minutes later), "the ECU was returned to factory settings"...so I'm good to go with a cobb 2 then????....hmmm...I think F.A.S.T has Cobb 2 for $605 delivered...

Yep, you are good to go. Too bad you didn't post earlier. As of yesterday a local guy with an 04 had an AccessPort for sale. Oh well....order one. You will like it. I likey mine!

If you do meet some locals, watch out for that bucklidl guy. Dan has the gheyness and is famous for grapping people's packages.

You will LOVE the stage 2 map from Cobb with app. TBE. I had the pleasure of taking a ride in one, and all I can say is WOW. I dont know how hard they pull stock, so I cant say its X amount faster. I cant wait til my WRX pulls that hard....it probably wont feel that fast cause it doesnt have the 2.5 liter, but damn.

It seriously felt as fast as my buddies 531WHP all motor SS ....well, not really . I think it is very capable of mid 12's in the 1/4....it sure feels like it.

How do you run the 93-octane map (octane booster?? how do you properly mix??..)In Socal you only get 91-octane at the pumps...

run the 91 map...octane booster doent do squat. If you are going to run the 93 map, put some gallons of 100 octane in with the 91.

10 gal 91 octane + 5 gal 100 octane= ~93....thats just off the top of my head. I dont think spending the extra money will be worth the ~5hp more that the 93 map provides.

Again, off the top of my head, there is a gas station (76) in Norco, off Hamner and 2nd...might be one in Pomona. Do a google search for 100 octane in so. cal.
