Post Steering wheel

I've looked all over for a yellow steering wheel cover, but no one seems to have any. Does anyone know where I could find one online?

Im glad you asked this question.

This is actually a major problem for not just scooby owners, but the general car driving public as a whole. The shortage of yellow steering wheel covers throughout the planet has caused riots in some countries, and full scale chemical wars in others. It is a problem of pandemic porportions.

The supply is in such limited quantities right now that I have seen quality yellow covers going for over 20,000,000 yen. Of course this is the black market price, as all yellow covers are usually stolen right from the factory by various organized crimes factions as soon as they have been made. The Japanese Yakuza, or the Sons of the Neon Chrysanthemum, have cornered the market quite well throughout most of the world, while smaller organized African cartels account for the rest of the illicit trade.

Why the insane demand? It all boils down to basic economics. The original seven yellow steering wheel covers were made in 1974, and of those three have been destroyed in accidents. There were made by Tokoguso manufacturing concern as a special order for Aristotle Onasis but sadly never reached their destination. They were shipped on the doomed ocean liner "Opalescent Maelstrom", which sunk in a typhoon in the Mediterranean Sea. There usually aren't any typhoons in the Mediterranean Sea, so this has baffled scientists and Ornithologists for some time now. The first wheel covers were seen on the street in 1983 when it is believed they were salvaged from the angry sea by the Italian Mafia. The supply was quickly bought up by the aforementioned Yakuza, for they recognized a business opportunity when they see one. The supply was very small, and the Yakuza knew that someday, someone would want a yellow steering wheel cover. After they purchased the only factory capable of making the yellow steering wheel covers, the Yakuza limited production to one per Mercurian orbit. They had the market cornered.

In March of 1994 when Donald Trump posed on the cover of GQ magazine with his newly acquired yellow latex steering wheel cover on his "Trump Princess" yacht demand for the yellow rubber torii exploded. Bill Gates purchased one in 1996 when he had acquired enough wealth to put down the down payment. Dennis Rodman is also in possession of one; it is believed it was given to him by the Yakuza as a favor. Also in possession of the elusive floppy yellow discs: Michael Jackson, Ted Nugent, and Master P from No Limit Records.

Various nations claim to have a right to posses yellow steering wheel covers, but their demands are very transparent. It would be a great honor for a mere nation to posses such a thing. The universal appeal of this quirky rubber convenience is simply too visceral. People salivate at the sight of one, they instantly desire it with the whole of their being and would do anything to posses it. People have been found buying white steering covers, spray painting them yellow, and cradling them in their arms, all sense of time and place lost. The violence has reached such peaks that in some areas the UN has had to intervene.

As far as obtaining one is concerned, you can contact any one of the known owners or contact your local Yakuza representative. I know of one in downtown Los Angeles, he goes by the alias "Tim" and has a missing little finger on his left hand. He can be found in the lobby of the New Otami hotel Tuesday-Thursday night. For the right price he might put you on the waiting list.

A word of warning: do not play any games with Tim. He is a brutal killer and does not take any nonsense. Do not use their credit union as the interest is quite high. Do not sell them your babies or personal organs. Know what you are doing before you purchase this 8th man made wonder of the world.

Good luck.

Subie Gal-
I saw some "custom" floor mats simmilar in design to the ones you have. They were in an ad in Max Power Euro-version Mag. Cost was 60-100 British Pounds. You can have WRX embroidered, or whatever you wish.. and the aluminum plate comes with it. Anyways, Is this the place where you got your mats from? Where did you get yours from? How much were they?

Thanks,
Justin
