Default HKS F-ConV

ive got an 02 WRX with full exhaust system mods and and HKS EVC V boost controller. The F-Con V standalones gonna be here in a week.

Any point in tuning the car now? Or should i wait 4 months to get the full blitz turbo/wastegate/intercooler kit?

my guy will do the install and a thorough tune for 800 bones. considering my car still stock, should i save the money?

Does the F-Con come with a basemap loaded for a stock wrx? If not get a tune. Otherwise, try to learn it yourself, then get a tune.

F-Con Pro V does not have a basemap and you need the software from HKS to tune it yourself (good luck trying to convince them to giving it to you). also, the software is in japanese. Only a handful of US tunning shops are authorized by HKS to tune this system. I have one also and have not yet had the time to install it. most likely going to SP Eng. for the tune.

It can be either Stand Alone or Piggy Back.

If you want V Pro to control everything or just partially.

For everyday use, most tuners will leave stock ECU in place for controlling idling, air cond, etc and piggy back V pro to control fuel and Ignition in the high rev high load zone.

For all-out racing application with highly modified engine, V pro can be more properly used as a Stand Alone.
