Question Higher wattage fog lamp bulbs

Has anyone ever tried to use higher wattage bulbs with the stock 00MY housing and harness?

Obviously the higher current going through the bulbs and wiring harness, is a concern. I have no desire to burn the car down because the insulator burned off the wire causing a short circuit and fire... Nor do I want the excess heat to destroy the fog lamp itself and all the associated connectors.

But I wanted to see if anyone has any experience, since buying 2 $6 100 watt bulbs and swapping them in seems way too easy.

Any input is appreciated.

Some people will tell you they have no problems with 100Watts, some people say they have brown/burnt/cracked reflectors because of it. Somebody isn't telling the whole truth.... as for me, I get people flashing their highs at me already... I don't want to add fuel to the fire.

Highly inadvisable since the entire foglamp circuit is relayed at that little pink relay on the side of the driver's kick panel fusebox. 20 feet or more of 16 and 18 gauge wire lie between the power and the foglamps. With a heavy-duty locally relayed wiring harness there shouldn't be any problem, though.
