Post Rear fold down seats

Looking at this members page http://www.impreza-rs.com/gallery/GT/RearSeats3.jpg

He has the split fold down seats. So, they do exist. All we need is a part number and maybe we can get them here?

Also he has the headlamp washers and light level adjustment. http://www.impreza-rs.com/gallery/GT/Knobs.jpg

Part numbers? US availability?

The only problem with me buying a 2000 2.5 RS, was that the back seat didn't fold down. Now I can have the perfect car.

You're going to need a dual pump bottle and another pump (I'm using the dual bottle off of an Impreza wagon) and the tubing as well. The bottle will indeed fit. I have some mostly finished instructions on the website under 'all modifications.'

If you haven't realized those pictures of the fold down seats are from a russian impreza. Also North: where did you get the headlamp washers? SOA cannot get them so where did you get them?

Yup, know that is the Russian GT (possilbly euro spec?). Still, if the part exists, perhaps we can get the parts here. I'll be in Germany over xmas and was thinking of stopping by a Subaru dealer to check out what stuff I can get (headlamps, h-lamp washers, rear seat maybe).

Hey Ridinlow,

does your seat back flop around? For example, during hard braking, does it flop forward? Do you have it fastened with velcro or anything?

WRXwannbe, the nozzles and switch came from Subaru of the Netherlands. The T valve is available here... same as what was used on the XT's with the headlamp washers.

Yes!!! I'm definately in on a GB if we can find out where to get them.

My car was in the shop for 5 days last week (I'll post that under tech board) for a bad o2 sensor. The POS Hyundai they gave me even had fold down seats, as well as a trunk light.

I'll do some research on it if anyone can point me in the right direction. I'm just a newbie afterall.

Hey all,

I wrote to SOA to see what kind of info I could get out of them on this issue.

Here's the reponse:

"Thank you for visiting the Subaru Web site, and for your inquiry.

As you know, we do not recommend making any modifications to our
vehicles. The Impreza RS seats do not offer the split seat due to the
three-point rear outboard seat belts.

My only recommendations would be to search the Subaru Around The World
Web sites that can be found from our Contact page via out Web site "

Thank you for taking the time to contact us, and please visit our Web
site again.

Best wishes!

Um...did you guys know Subaru doesn't recommend making ANY modifications to their cars? hahahaha!

BS!! The seatbelt mounting points are the same! Whay would FHI move the mounting points around, when the seatbelts are a major saftey issue? I responded to them along those lines.

Anyway....I wrote to Graham Goode as well in hopes they could point me in the right direction.

I'll post anything I find out.

I dont know if anyone noticed and has any idea of how to get them but that car (the russian version) has the STi seats with white trim. I want those. but I want the front and the back. ANyone know people in russia that can get htem and how much. Could care less about the seat folding down but wont turn it away. mainly want the front and back to look like they belong in the same car.

Thanks

Snyder
