Default Quiet Turbo Exhaust

ok, I love my ScoobySport, but getting tired of it attracting cops attentions
I'm looking for a similar sized (3" tip 2.5" pipe) with good air-flow, maybe a nice deep rumble, but not uber-loud when on the gas. Not a potato shooter.
I have 2000 RS-T
any ideas please ?
thanks
Jon

wow, I had a SS, and that exhaust was quiet by comparison!
sorry dunno what else there is except maybe a custom setup, using a resonator, and say a magnaflow muffler ?

hmm, I though scooby was rated at 93db which is pretty loud ?
also my pipes are a little more empty than they should be, which I guess makes a difference too
What do you have now thats alot louder than SCooby ?

thanks

Lots of WRX guys like the Prodrive exhaust. I have the MRT axle back and it has a huge muffler, which I think really baffles the sound but has a great rumble on the throttle.

indeed, the borla hush.... here's some pics.... all you have to do is take the section that mates up to the downpipe, and have a muffler shop lenghten it by about 2-3" and weld on a new flange. The dual tips really look like they were made for our bumpers... looks much better than on a WRX I also think IMO.

Brad at titan motorsports www.subarustore.com is where I got mine, great vendor, I recommend it.

Prodrive Oval tip -

I am catless 2.5" and its still quiet! no resonators.

I have a friend with a 3" back borla hush and I am significantly quieter.

Prodrive, it's expensive but they have a muffler for the GC/GM/GF cars

Hmmm it looks like the prodrive oval tip is discontinued, only a round tip now ? any idea if the round-tip is quiet ?

just to clarify, when I say "quieter" I mean from the outside of the car, when on full throttle

I've found contradicting posts saying prodrive is quieter or louder than borla hush, and some saying they use prodrive with a stealthback ?
Hitokiri, do you have just the prodrive axle back muffler ? e.g. just straight through pipes and the prodrive ?
is the prodrive piping 2.5 "

my through-pipes are all 2.5"

thanks again
Jon

prodrive is 2.5

I have the oval tip and my friend TJ has a round tip. The round tip is significantly louder and deaper than the oval, but I was going for the quieter sound. Lol now that I am catless with 2.5 straight pipe It is definitely louder than it was with stock cats (no ****) but I believe it to be the perfect match and DEFINITELY quiter that the borla hush. My friends WRX has a cat and its still louder by a large margin.

Idle: VERY quiet. Quieter than NA.
cruise: low rumble now that I am catless, before it was barly noticable unless you have it throttle.
WOT: I would describe it as "tuned" - as tuned as a catless car can sound! lol My par pops and burbles constantly. Definitely not anywhere near as loud as most things. The prodrive centers to a low deep tone.

Its what you want.

I know the oval tip is discontinued but you can find it. Try Irvine Subaru in CA.
