shift light
I just got an autometer shift light for my 98 2.5RS and it says to hook up one of the wires to the negative terminal on the coil. I got the wire to the coil but there is no neg. terminal that I can see and just 3 wires going into the coil... which wire is it. Any help will be appreciated, thanxs

Since the coil is pushing big electrical loads, the neagative terminal will have a lead that goes to a soild negative ground-- either the engine block or the negative terminal on the battery. Look which one of the three leads goes to one of those two places?
Someone tell me if I'm off the mark here, but I think this makes good sense. |

IIRC, you can simply hook it up to the RPM signal at the ECU. It is easier than hooking it up to the coil. Check your MY98 ECM wiring harness diagram.
