Cliff Notes: 19 year old woman gives up baby for adoption. Baby grows up and gets pregnant at 17. Adoptive parents arrange reunion to help pregnant girl make decision. Pregnant girl's parents offer to adopt the baby. Result: baby's biological grandmom is her adoptive mother and her biological mother becomes her adoptive sister.

As long as the kid is well cared for, it's all good. Although when it comes time for 'draw your family' day in elementary school, the kids gonna have a interesting picture.

I didn't know that actually. I'm from just east of Pittsburgh, which isn't much better.

I can't understand how you'd ever want to give a child up to someone you know. You don't think that'll mess the kid up when they find out, that their biological mother was there all along, but never told them? At least in a traditional adoption situation the child can hopefully understand that keeping the child wasn't an option. In this setup, the mother is right there. The child will always question why she never took "responsibility". Plus, the difficulty that comes from the biological mother posibly being involved in the child's life, creating even more confusion.
