Default Re-classification to truck for emissions?

We got the new emission classification sticker in the mail(Subaru/Govt is now calling a light duty truck), and now we have to pay more at registration. Why is that? Did everyone else get their new engine label sticker?

CA already calssified mine as a truck so I didn't have to pay more. The GOVT classivied the 03's and early 04's as passanger cars by accident and they is why the sticker said what it did and subaru had to put that sticker on them. Now that the GOVT has re-classified all of the baja's as trucks, they needed new stickers. So in some states, this means new licenses plates and higher or lower registration fees. I also know that in Washington they were classified as trucks, so no change there as well.

Yah, Maine New Hampshire and Mass all have California emmissions. And Maine is living up to its reputation as one of the highest tax states I guess.
