Default ECU Gone Bad?

i was installing some stereo stuff, mixed up a ground and positive on hook up, whiched caused some sparks upon reconnecting the battery. my prob. is that since then the car has idled rough. drove 300 miles, after getting some gas less than 5miles car didnt want to get into boost. turbo builds boost but just stumbles on itself. so got some octane booster thinking bad gas, no luck. check engine light flashing meaning "misfire". get plugs and replace same thing. drain tank and refill with race gas, again no luck. pull the EM and leave it as just the stock ECU still after 3-4 min the check engine light will blink, "misfire". the shop can't fig. it out, there is no oil in the intercooler, around turbo or any where else, so i would say that there is no piston ring failure. the shop is doing compression test monday and then goin to try to see if the ECU is gone. just strange that the car drove fine up until getting gas and then it doesn't want to go.

?s
how can i tell if the ECU is toasted?
anything else to check?
still some bad gas?
failed injector?

thanks
H.

That t-number says it was delivered August 3rd to Danbury, CT. Somebody is having integrity or intelligence issues here.
