I believe the block is the same as the STI motor. Couldnt I just throw STi internals and heads, Turbo and the other STI components and everything would work? I know I would also have to change the ECU and all. Basicaly what do I have to do to get it to have the STI performance?

Tranny? Diffs? Axles? etc.
There is more to it, I'm sure someone less noobish as myself can help you but it isn't 'easy'. |

just do a engine swap.
It's better if you want your engine to last. |

yeah... your block is like, open deck and missing alot of turbo parts... whereas the STi block is semi-closed deck and has all those turbo parts.
You're block wouldn't handle a crapload of power without major modification. |

Was doing some research and found a website called http://www.xcceleration.com/imp-index.html and they sell sorts of parts just mainly for the subaru impreza. They had fully built racing motors but the cost like 20 grand or more. These motors are preety much like 650 horsepower and more. They also sell performance heads, blocks, internals and more.

If you've been to florida, you know why that's funny.Anyway, Why do people buy Altezza's?? their so stupid, just go to SOA and get some STI tails, much cleaner. I wish Toyota never invented the altezza. Started a trend that just doesn't know when to die. And now their putting it on most of lexus's cars... |

i dont see why everyone has to be a dick to the guy. unless u wanna help and explain things dont insult him.
the sti and 2.5l blocks are totally difefrent, the internals are stronger on the sti, it has 8.2:1 pistons and semi closed deck. the rs block has smallrods, 10:1 pistons and open deck. the looks of allej series parts do look aike but there are differences when u look into them. oh and hondas dont need those lights, all they do is need a turbo running 8 psi and they are set |

Thanks, I think I will probally do a swap when my warranty runs out. Kinda hard doing when your active in the millitary though. Yea all those honda and acuras need are those turbos. I got my ass handed to me when a civic beat me on the quarter mile when he ran a 11.3. That car looked so damn stock.

Guys quit being dicks. Don't worry man, all you need is the following to make this work.
-Semi close your block -new pistons -new rods -new crank -new cams -new heads -new springs/retainers -add an upipe -add a turbo -add a downpipe -new airbox -add an intercooler -add an inlet pipe -new engine management I think that's it, i might be missing a few things, but you get the point. Let us know how it turns out ![]() |

Well the design of the shortblock is technically very simular, minus the semi-closed segment on the STI shortblock and one or two other small things...
