I'm willing to bet you can get contact paper in carbon fiber pattern... would be a whole lot cheaper.

I got this one and have been happy with it. It is a 30 piece kit of real carbon fiber in a flexible material to fit curves. These kits are on sale now $139 down from $225 !!. One bad thing, they tend to pop up/come loose on the curves like around the instrument panel, so I had to crazy glue some spots down, once you do that, it stays forever.

The key to a good looking install with a stick on kit is taking the time to do it right.

First, every surface must be clean. Wiping the parts down with alcohol on a lint free cloth several times is a must.

I also tell customers that if they want the best finished look, paint all dash trim getting the CF satin black. It provides a much more uniform look.

Check placement before you peel and stick. Use some tape or a chaulk pencil to mark positioning.

After you stick it in place, use a blow dryer to warm the part for (1)better adhesion, and (2) you can roll the edges a bit so the trim looks more seemless.

The actual overlay of carbon fiber on to factory parts as some do is very prone to delamination over time. They look great yes, but long term durability is questionable. I have a ton of experience working with CF and have laminated perts before using various techniques and resins. The big problem with this is that automotive plastics have a high oil content. What likes to stick to oil?

Sorry I am a noob at posting pics, probably because I work on a mac and it is a pain to do. The Actual material kit is not an overlay it is carbon fiber in a flexible resin-like material about 1/8th thick. I looks great not fake. If you send me your e-mail I could send you a J-peg or 2, that's the best I can do.

well, I got my CF overlayed factory parts from my old car for about 5 years now, and it's still doing fine

the delamination thing will happened mostly to the engine parts, say like wrapping the stock alternator cover or the fuse box cover, because they are too hot.

but the chance for it to happen to interior parts is really small.

I've been working on interior pieces from so many cars, and there's never been a problem. the only problem I got was when I wrap the OEM plastic pieces from their engine bay.
