Question clear corners; bulbs? am i missien something?

i installed GE 2040 halogen bulbs .they keep goin out , not burnt just out.i pulled em out checked, in tight wiggled em some they stayed lit. hour latter after driven some one goes out short time latter both are out.i check them again next day they both work. i dont think the wattage is too muchthere just a halogen replacement for stock bulb. too hot??? no fuses are blown.
thanks ps , stock bulbs worked fine before this.

Sometimes you have to bend the contacts closer together in the socket to get a good connnection. Other times rotating the bulb 180 degrees produces a better connection. Don't touch them with your skin though.
