I had stoptechs, but disliked them because of pad knockback. However I am now doing an sti swap that included sti brembos. Because the swap has sti hubs, with beefier bearings, I'm pretty sure the pad knockback would go away with my stoptechs. I have the option of using either set, so which should I use and why?
Also, whichever set I don't use will be up for sale ![]() Thanks Ben

Do the stoptechs have 2-piece discs? That would save some unsprung & rotational weight.
And you are right, the pad knockback issue is a matter of the hubs/bearings, so either brake setup would be similarly affected. |

Are you doing an '04 or '05 STi swap? The '05s are beefier, but you will need new rims in the '05 bolt pattern.

The brakes are the same. The hubs and bearings are larger in the '05 - hence "beefier". You will need new wheels because the stud spacing was increased from 5x100 to 5x114.3.
