Default For those who want turbo power without the problems.

This is still in the working stages. Complete(?) thread here.

If I get enough interest I will spec out a kit. Install time about 8-12 hours.

Let me know what you think.

Power increase is ?. But I think it will be in the 50-80 hp range.

aren't you still going forced induction? you're still going to have some of the same problems, correct? It sound iffy to me when you can spend about 3,000 in parts an be making almost as much at the WRX at the wheels on a 2.5RS (IE: spicy cams, intake, exhaust, drivetrain improvements)

What kind of boost are you running again? I'm guessing 5-6psi. Are you just using a RRFPR? What other kind of engine management are you using? Post some more details in this thread (a summary of your other one if i'm right) and more people will be interested.

The super only works for the older RS cars. I PMed the guy making the charger, and he said that the newer (at least 04 and up, maybe 02 and up) ej2.5 engines had a different piston shape that did not take to boost well. Somehting to consider before plunking down the change.

He suggested that I get an older RS and buy his kit.

Ballpark is unknown at this moment. I need to find out if I can get bulk pricing on this style of supercharger, and if it is available. Guestimation would be in the $1500-2000 range if I can get the supercharger and intake from Eaton for $750. If you supply your own supercharger, of course pricing would be considerably less. I still need to work out ALOT of details and so forth.
