Default 04 STI - SAFC Install question

Ok,.. new to the board,.. so hello everyone.

I installed my SAFC II last night on my car,.. everything seemed to go well,.. car started,.. check the SAFC and the only problem I'm seeing is :

RPM displays "0". I connected the RPM wire from the SAFC to the Engine Speed Output: Connector:B134 Terminal:23

My knock sensor only diplays "0" I connected it to : Connector: B136 Terminal: 25

Do these seem like the right connections? Everything else works great except for these 2.

Thanks for your help.

1) take off the safc
2) choose a different EM
3) install other EM

well...ive never used a SAFC.

the ecu will learn around the safc, and you will be back where you started...or worse, you will blow up your engine. so a search on popped ej257s before the ecutek, cobb or utec EM solutions came out. they were usually running e-manage which is a glorified safc. so if the emanage is better than the safc, what are the odds you will have good luck?

is your engine worth saving a few bucks?

Ok,.. took everyones advise,.. I did get the SAFC 2 running, and road tuned with my wideband o2,.. but in the end wasn't really happy with the little amount of control I had,

So I made an appointment for next week to take it to Scottsdale AZ and have the ECUTEK flashed in and dyno tuned....

Side not I have a Brand new installed once for 12 hours or so Apexi SAFC II for sale ... asking $190

Thanks everyone.
