You can only tune the utec the cobb tuner is not been released. So if you want a special set up other than what cobb has maps for go with utec.

If you go with Cobb, you have to stick with specific mods that are on the stages. If you go with the UTEC then your open to any mod, but you need a custom tune.

Default my but dyno says Utec is better..ha..ha.

If you want some thing you can just drop in and not worry about it go with the COBB. There are not many AWD dinos in the usa and in less you have one near you to tune the UTEC I would not spend the extra money. 600 dollars vs. 1000ish. I am not sure if you know how to tune it but... I always get a kick out of pepole who use the but dyno to tune there ECU also rember that the utec is still a piggy back unit and not a true reprogramed ecu. Some like it and some dont. I think it might be a good Idea to get the Cobb and once you feel like you got a good bead on how the ecu works then buy the tuner for it when it comes out.. my two cents.
Oh one more thing.. before it comes up. Cobb has gotten down to one month turn around time for shipping (roughly) I placed my order on the 1st of July and got it this month on the 11th

reflash = more turn key than the utec, that's for sure. a reflash (just like the oem map on the oem ecu) will do some degree of tuning for you, whereas the utec puts that responsibility in the user's hands.

If you want a turn key tune then get Ecutek. Get a local tuner to either dyno or road tune your car with ecutek. I would go with ecutek over cobb b/c you aren't limited to the mods that you can put on the car. I have it and love it.
