Default N00b ECU tuning question...

Lol sorry for the waste of space by posting this very rediculous question, but here it goes ...I've been checking the forums all over, but have still not found a direct answer. I was wondering, what will standalone engine management (IE Tec-II) do for a N/A car? I know it does wonders for forced induction, obviously b/c of the fact that your goal is to try to get at least double your stock hp ^_^. But my question is that if you can get significant gains from an ECU on forced induction, why can't you gain HP (obviously not the same gains) on a N/A car? just never seen the answer to this, nor heard of a N/A car with an ECU in it hehe. Thanks guyz n gals -RJ

Aftermarket engine namagement will do the same thing for an na car that it does for a turbo car. There're definately aftermarket ecus for na cars, and they also try to help the car gain power or whatever.

peace

Impreza GC8 hrmmm =P

I obviously know Tec-3 is better than Tec-2, but is it worth the price difference? Also what kind of power difference will I notice if i have a tec-3 over the stock ecu on an N/A 2.5L? (exhaust, intake, pulley) thnx -RJ
