Default How to convince my girl to get the Scion Tc

Ok so my girlfriend is getting ready to get a new car and she wants a stupid civic for whatever reason and I am trying to explain to her how the Tc not only looks better but you get more for the money. What else can I tell her to change her mind...

tell her everyone and their momma has a civic and the tC is newer and not too many people have one yet....she will be an originator, not a follower. if that fails, show her the Honda commercial where all the ricers are out and about

i test drove it. wasnt too solid feeling. transmission sounded real shoddy (sounded like throwout bearing was whistling). me personally, i wouldnt buy a first model year.

My girl test drove one on Sunday. She liked it a LOT more than her 2001 Golf. I had to ride in the backseat But I can say the back is really roomy, way more than the WRX. I'm 6'2" and could stretch my legs. The stock stereo was really nice too. They had a riced out one on display. Carbon fiber everything including the roof, and had the supercharger. I believe it's a vortech supercharger and will be a dealer option. Estimated cost for it was like $3000.

With the Civic you get a proven winner. It's a good solid car that'll last for 10+ years with even minimal care. The Scion doesn't have the track record and it's a first year car. More of a gamble to go with the Scion, even if it is a better deal (so are Kias and Daewoos though).

tell her it matches her wardrobe better. Most girls I know could care less about turbo kits and stuff like that.

I bet the civic is cheaper by a couple grand though, since apparently the scion is a no haggle deal, like saturn.

i have to agree here. i wouldn't say to go with the civic but i would stay clear of the Scion for at least the first (and maybe first few) years post release.

the civic is proven...proven to do what is another question. i think you need to do more research. she is a woman aka emotional and can be a pain in the ass..at least pretend to listen to what she is saying (heck, it may be something valid). but in the end it is her car.

Best way, buy it for her... , then she feels debted...

About the TRD unit, its a Eaton unit (m62??).

TRD also buys the M90 Unit for the V8's. I wonder if you can swap them??

Tell her the exact same reason my GF didnt want a civic. Sit inside a Civic then sit inside of a tC she will notice how cheap the civic looks. I own a civic from 94 and the interior looks the same! They really need to update it. The tC looks so much better and just do many more options.
