That's probably my car. I live at 40th St and Thunderbird. They're Work Meister S1 3P . What else would you like to know?

Yeah I now remember seeing the Work emblems on them. I was in the Gray IS300 at the next light. What are your wheel and tire specs? What suspension work do you have done?

I'm thinking of eventually getting gold xxr 527s for my '10 dgm fxt after it's lowered on sti suspension. Is it possible you can post a pic?

You've got a badass IS! It looked really good from behind .

They're Work Meister S1 3 piece 18x10.5 +24 R disk front and O disk rear. As far the suspension, the car is lowered on BC BR coilovers (worst **** I've ever owned and I can't wait to pull them off). 25mm front and 22mm rear Perrin sways with Perrin endlinks and Whiteline rear swaybar braces. It also has Cusco rear lateral links. -2.5 of camber in the front, stock in the rear (~1.3 IIRC). My fenders are rolled and pulled a little as well. If you're in the area again, swing by. You're always welcome to check it out.

Edit: Tires are 235/40/18

Are you going to use the STi struts and modify them? I've been debating whether or not to put my stock struts and springs on my wife's '11 XT.

Current wheels...

That looks great! Thanks for the pictures! Yes, but I'm having FAT do the work hopefully by the end of this month or beginning of January. I think you should put them on your wife's xt for sure. If you go on the forester forum there is a thread by RAPTR. He has a full write up. I thought about black wheels but from far away you can't really see the design of the wheels. Plus I want to be different.

Saw an older black WRX (not bug eye... I think) heading east on Indian School (towards the 101) around 1pm today... front right headlight was out.

About 5p today, saw a white, similar yeared WRX with tinted tail lights heading east on Guadalupe, getting off the 101S.

I was in my husband's Neon so I didn't wave. I just had surgery 2-3 weeks ago, so I can't clutch my car yet. It's probably for the best. I got honked at for going the speed of traffic, and stopping when people ahead of were stopped. Honked at me, passed me, flipped me off, and then cut me off. In the rain. It's probably better for my stress levels and someone's safety (not sure whose) that I was in the Neon...

Last night around 7pm I saw a WRB 06-07 STI on Indian School Road about to get on to the 51.

I saw that post. I just don't think they'll go low enough for her. I did bake the headlights and black them out along with the trim rings around the fogs. It looks 100000 times better. I had black wheels on one of my VWs and will never do that again for that reason.

Looking to get rid of them?

I think I'm nearing closing on an STi thats being sold on this forum. Have any of you dealt with buying a car from out of state? What was the title transfer process and shipping like? Unfortunately I don't have the free time to fly out there to see it and drive it back

I saw a '10 fxt on sti suspension at subiefest this year and it was quite a difference in height compared to stock. If you want to lower just get lowering springs put on the sti struts before you put them on. I'm going to have mine baked professionally. I don't feel comfortable doing it myself, but it does look really good and more aggressive looking. Did you plasti dip the trim rings? I plan to do that soon. Most of the chrome is gone from my fxt. Only the fog light trim rings and door handles are chrome still.

They weren't officially for sale, but I'm willing to talk. I may put the car up for sale. If that happens, they'd definitely be up for sale.

No, I sprayed them with automotive paint at the same time I had the headlights apart. I used a Semigloss black.

Not being in my WRX has never stopped me from waving, much to the confusion of other drivers Hope you get well chickie. You arent missing much by not being out in traffic - you just get to avoid the screwballs driving this time of the year. Yay!

Aww, I missed this. Thanks. I hope to be up to putting on my own socks within the next week. Husband has been pushing me to try driving my car, but I still think it's too soon. He -did- just drive it to work for the first time, then promptly informed me he's taking it to work for the rest of the week.

What size tire were you running in that picture? I like the way that setup sits but I would want to run a meatier tire.

Would any of you east side guys consider yourself a pro with tail light overlays? I can build engines, tune, restore, ect, but I cannot for the life of me properly install a sticker, let alone a nice light overlay......lol

I'd be willing to pay someone to install my new red overlays on my hatch......

IM not east side but the easiest way i have found to do it is to get a spray bottle of water and spray the surface down heavily, that way when you lay the sticker you can slide it where you want it. then use a credit card to press out all the air and water, then give it time to dry. Hope that helps

^^^ this. Take a little bit of soap and water mixture. (You can by pre mixed window tinting solution that's the same thing.) coat it very heavily and lay the overlay on. If you mess up you and simply pop it bak off with the solution. Once it's in place just take a credit card like slobalt said and work from corner to opposite corner.

Also I'm sure a tint shop will do it for a very cheap price if you don't feel comfortable doing it

Using a blow dryer to heat up the vinyl makes it easier too.

Wash your hands or use gloves so you don't leave prints.
