OMGHi2U Any Accessport owners running a Blitz induction cover? Thoughts?

Cobb AP + Blitz induction cover? Anybody currently using? Description says that it replaces the top half of the stock airbox. I'd seen a previous post by Vostok where it looked like the opposite....

No matter how well my car runs at Stage 1, headed for Stage 2, there is always a part of me that wants an intake kit of some type. I removed a Blitz SUS intake because it was specifically listed as NOT approved for use with Cobb Accessport.

I called to ask Cobb. They have not done any testing on it yet, but the guy @ Cobb told me to send them one, and they'd evaluate it. Yeah, I'll get around to that.

Anybody's $.02 welcome....

I chopped up my stock airbox. I basically cut the bottom off of it so that the filter is exposed just like the blitz piece does. All it will do is make the intake louder. It does nothing for performance, at least nothing that I can feel. The only part that I left on was the side that bolts to the frame so that it would have some stability. Don't waste your money. The filter in the pic is of a crappy fram filter that I had in while my Perrin filter was drying(I cleaned it) I could not feel any difference no matter what filter was in.

Definitely know how you feel about having the itch to replace the factory airbox element with something other than factory. I'm at stage two and just installed a K&N drop-in a couple days back and honestly felt very little to no significant improvement. Worded in that way because if there was any improvement it was really minor but every little counts right? Did I regret forking out the money to do so? Nope, because that itch went away.

FYI, stage 2 is all
