Default [B]Check Engine Light question regarding uppipe/downpipe[/B]

I have an 02 WRX and I'm considering getting the Perrin or HKS upipe for my car. Does the CEL become an issue only when the downpipe with the two cats is replaced or when the uppipe with the single cat is replaced? I just want to know in advance whether or not I am going to have any issues with the CEL from just replacing the uppipe with the catless Perrin or HKS one. Any info would be much appreciated, thanks.

u will get cel if you replace your uppipe with a catless one. you will get another cel if you remove the 3rd cat as well.
