i'll come over once that BPM exhaust gets on so we can compare and see how they sound next to each other or just to see how loud/annoying it is on a somewhat long trip.

Andrew, I wish you were around later today - after you left my place, I was driving around with the dog and some guy in a white RS smoked me on 101. Totally turbo'd, totally fast, totally flew.

Scary fast.

I gave him my card and told him to call, but no calls yet. Mystery driver, has to be an i-clubber, but I guess he is going home or something? Got his plate, ####123, anyone know him?

I put on the JC Sports oil pan which GREATLY reduced the pressure. But it still isnt enough. I'll be honest and say I have no idea what an oil catch can is nor do I know how to install one. What I have is some weird piece witha filter on it that I am going to install, I'm going to drill a hole in my oil pan (yes my brand new oil pan ) and insert a piece that will allow me to connect a tube to the other piece with the filter. I'm just praying it works. I'm going to do this tomorrow, so if you guys have any better ideas, please speak up.

Question

Hi Andrew,

With you having the oil being blocked and leaking thru the seal to the compressor (i.e. the smoke from the exhaust) Do you think there was any damage done? (Mainly to the o-ring or piston ring seal, behind the compressor wheel).

Not trying to scare you or anything. Just a thought.

It looks like that oil return line thru the drain plug was a VERY poor design, as there being no pressure to the oil after it leaves the turbo housing. So with it trying to re-enter the engine it was fighting gravity, causing the backup.

Enjoy the smoke free turbo.....I'm on my way to getting a turbo charges suby myself. Can't wait.
