Stupid question maybe.

So i had bought aftermarket wheels for my car, and had to get those spline drive lugs i believe they are called, because the stock acorns are not sufficient to hold the wheel on. Anyway, i have since put the stock wheels back on, and was using the stock lugs again. I just bought some of the ver.7 gold wheels, and am worried about theft. Can i use the spline lock set that i bought, or do i have to get stock-style lugs with a lock. Sorry if thats confusing.

Conical (tuner) lugs will not provide safe seating on flat mounting surface rims. Get locks- check suby-dude for a set of 4 to use with the stock lugs.

for 'stock' wheels, definately go w/ the stock lugs or something w/ the similar seat... even your local subaru dealership carries mcgard wheel locks that will work for your 'stock' setup...or maybe you can ask the person you got your wheels from to throw in the lugs too

Outside of a set of Cragars, where have you seen flat seat lug mount wheels, not to mention on a Subaru?

until i get my hands on a lock set, is it safe to use a "tuner" lock on each wheel? just to give myself some peace of mind.
