('93-'01) Shipping rates for tires

I know some of you have sold your tires. What carrier did you use, and how much did it cost? I need to ship these half way across the country.

Actually you dont even have to box your tires if you ship them UPS. You just tape the address label to the tire. They charge an extra $5 to not box them, but it is much easier to do that to carry big boxes. I shipping all 4 of my RE92's for like $26 each. It was a lot, but buyer paid shipping so no worries.

I ship RE92's from Staples thru UPS Ground. It's been about $11 per tire each time. No boxes, just stick the label on the tread.

I think it might be cheaper overall to bundle them in pairs, Tire Rack ships them that way. Wrap a couple rounds of strapping tape on three points of each pair.

You can get a quote from UPS. http://wwwapps.ups.com/servlet/QCCServlet Estimate the size and package your tires in pairs. They should weigh no more than 25lbs a pair.
