piker28: why would something bad come outta this??? just b/c i wanna have some fun on dirt roads????i coud, understand if you were trying to have the same fun on tarmac, something bad might happen, but dirt/gravel roads and fields are mostly harmless, unless you're supremely incompetent and use none of your god-given discretion....just b/c im a "scooby newbie" doesnt mean im retarded, i've had my license for more than a year, and have been driving high performance vehicles since then. the wrx i just got is quite a step down from the other sports car i used to drive periodicly(even though i now OWN the wrx)

sorry about the rant, i just dont like when people act condescending towards me

I posted this in one of the other "lets go blasting down dirt roads in a reckless manner" posts....

Why not help us find a place to run a rally-x in the area. We have sanctioning, insurance and timing/safety equipment ready to run this, just need a field or location we can rent to run it. Then there is no chance of smacking into oncoming traffic etc.

I been down to the Pineys with my WRX. Did 22 miles on a guys property but, the trails have deep sand If you slow down you bog and dig in. That and there a whoops from trucks wheeling around. I stood my car up on the front bumper a bit when it dug into a whoop coming off of one before it to fast.

Now that I have a FMIC I wont dare go off in the pines again

yeah i cant wait, it was a lot of fun last year, although the water was deep in some parts

2002WRXSTi - some of the trails are deep with sand but most of them are pretty good, and opens so you can go fast if you want

Hmmm..sounds interesting When I went down it was for a 4x4 mud boggers 3day weekend on the guys property. He has since closed it to people he doesn't know and blocked thr trails onto his property with trees My 4x4 Van made it no problem but the cars that get in there get beat pretty bad.

It sounds good if it is a flatter area. Would be fun to actually drift in the sand and dirt cause doing it on pavement really sux Tears up my Nitto's bad
